Gabriela Brunschwiler is an avid Greenland paddler, and spends as much time upside down as she does right side up in her kayak. When she’s not honing her rolling skills, Gabriela is also a Paddle Canada Kayak Instructor. Paddling is in her heart and she can often be found on the water. On land she enjoys a paddle craft repair challenge or she works on a custom wood project.
The beauty and versatility of wood is Gabriela’s other passion and she looks back on two decades as a woodworker. She learned the ropes of professional cabinet-making in four years of apprenticeship in Switzerland. As a journeyman cabinet-maker she has been involved in a variety of custom projects over the years, from fine furniture to exclusive built-in units.
Soon after catching the paddling bug, one of Gabriela’s paddling partners showed up with a Greenland Paddle. Shortly after that introduction she was carving one of her own.
