At this point Machaon Wood Creations’ custom made Greenland Paddles are available factory direct only. Please contact us to place your order. We will take your body measurements and want to have a chat about the intended use of your paddle and custom options.

It takes a minimum of four weeks from placing your order to picking up your brand-new paddle. This time can vary quite a bit depending on your chosen custom options and the number of paddles we’re working on. We will be able to give you a better idea at the time of ordering.

After a couple of negative experiences with shipping companies we have suspended the shipping of our paddles. We’re happy to get your measurements by phone or e-mail. However, the finished paddle has to be picked up in person the Comox Valley. We’re looking forward to meeting you or a person you trust.

The fine-print

We are confident that your brand-new custom made Machaon Wood Creations Greenland Paddle will live up to your expectations, and since it’s been test-paddled we can be sure that it does so on the technical side. Should you feel, after the first month of adjusting your technique, that it’s not fitting you as well as you’d like, please get in touch to discuss adjustments.

Any paddle can snap if it’s asked to perform tasks it wasn’t intended for. These can be one-time events like getting stuck between rocks, or gradual weakening over time like putting too much weight on the paddle every time one gets in and out of the kayak.

While we choose only the highest quality wood, and adapt the shape of the paddle to its intended use as best we can, we can’t give a warranty that it is unbreakable. Carrying a spare paddle is always a good idea.
